Privacy Policy

Revenue Leak Alerts · Effective March 26, 2026

1. What We Do

Revenue Leak Alerts is a Shopify app that scans your store for revenue leaks — unfulfilled orders, inventory risks, and revenue drops — and alerts you with estimated dollar impact.

2. Data We Access

When you install Revenue Leak Alerts, we request access to the following Shopify data through the Shopify API:

• Orders — to detect unfulfilled, partially fulfilled, or delayed orders.
• Products and inventory — to identify out-of-stock and low-stock items.
• Shop information — your store name, domain, and currency for display purposes.

We do not access or store customer personal information (names, emails, addresses, payment details).

3. Data We Store

We store the following in our database:

• Your Shopify store domain and access token (required to make API calls on your behalf).
• Generated alerts (type, severity, product/order reference IDs, estimated revenue impact).
• Your notification preferences (email address you provide for alerts, scan frequency).
• Your billing plan status.

4. How We Use Your Data

• To scan your store and generate revenue leak alerts.
• To send you email notifications about detected issues (if enabled).
• To display your dashboard within the Shopify admin.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use the following services to operate the app:

• Resend — to deliver email alert notifications.
• PostHog — for anonymous product analytics (if enabled). No personal customer data is sent.
• LogSnag — for internal operational notifications (install events, error monitoring).

6. Data Retention

Alerts are retained for up to 90 days and then automatically deleted. When you uninstall the app, we delete all of your store data from our systems in response to Shopify's shop/redact webhook.

7. Your Rights

You can request a copy of your stored data or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing helloaustinkelley@gmail.com. Uninstalling the app will also trigger full data deletion.

8. GDPR Compliance

We handle all mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks:

• Customer data request — We do not store customer personal data, so no data is returned.
• Customer data erasure — No action needed as we hold no customer PII.
• Shop data erasure — All store data is permanently deleted.

9. Security

Your Shopify access token is stored securely in an encrypted database. All communication between Revenue Leak Alerts and Shopify uses HTTPS. We follow Shopify's security best practices for app development.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email.
